Hi, I’m Angie. Enzo’s Wild and Wacky Beach Day grew out of my love of cats, reading, and Enzo himself — a kitten full of personality whose antics warm our hearts every day. I wanted to create a story that feels endearing and visually pleasing, while staying light-hearted enough to bring a smile or a chuckle. The world could always use a little more laughter, and I hope this book offers just that.

Enzo is a smart, spirited kitty full of personality and energy! He’s a social cat who loves being around his family, spending time outdoors, and being playful with our long-haired orange cat, Mittens. Adopted as a kitten from the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston in February 2025, Enzo has already been on many adventures — from trail walks and hiking to apple picking and even a fun evening at the lake!
Angela is a former licensed clinical social worker turned stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of four. Her love of cats and reading inspired her debut book, Enzo’s Wild and Wacky Beach Day, which is based on her real-life kitten, Enzo. With her children now grown, she is finding new ways to be creative and productive while residing in Maine with her husband.
Mary Barrows is a freelance illustrator from Maryland with a love of fantasy stories and creatures. Since she was old enough to hold a pencil, she has been drawing pictures of her favorite stories, and she has not stopped yet. Mary works both digitally and traditionally using a variety of styles in her work including: gouache, ink, watercolor, and colored pencil.
